Dr. Jonathan D. Sher was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Manzano High School in 1982. He attended the University of Texas-Arlington from 1982-1985 where he majored in Chemistry. In 1985 he was admitted to University of Houston-College of Optometry and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in 1986. Dr. Sher received his Doctor of Optometry from the Universtiy of Houston in 1989.
From 1989-1992 Dr. Sher worked at Cornea Assoicates of Texas in Dallas, Texas. He entered private practice in 1992 and joined with Dr. Webb at TSO in 1999. Dr. Sher purchased Dr. Webb's practice in December of 2004.
Dr. Sher is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Dallas County Optometric Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Sher enjoys skiing, swimming, playing piano, and competitive shooting. Dr. Sher, his wife Cynthia, and their son Benjamin live in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Tassabhji graduated with her Doctorate from University of Houston College of Optometry last May and has been helping Dr. Sher see patients since August of last year. Dr. Tassabhji enjoys seeing all kinds of patients and specializes in contact lenses and the care of families, but is extremely knowledgeable in the care of eye disease. She is super excited to be at TSO and anxious to help our patients “see the important things in life”.

Our TSO receptionists will try to accommodate your busy schedule by finding appointments that suit your needs. We will help you understand your insurance coverage and if financial arrangements are necessary, we will be glad to help you develop a plan to make your vision care treatment possible.
Vicki has been with us since September of 2013. She began as a part time optician and now works as a Front Desk Coordinator. Vicki's extensive experience working in various doctors offices over the years allows her to handle any situation that comes in the door, which makes her a valuable resource! Vicki's caring personality puts our patients at ease as she insures all are receiving wonderful service.
Loni is back! We are thrilled about her return! Loni worked at TSO for 15 years until she decided to leave to spend more time with ailing family. She started as an insurance billing clerk with Dr. Webb and stayed on after Dr. Sher bought the practice. While working for Dr. Sher she became the office manager. She now is working as an optician in the optical and enjoys finding our patients that perfect frame! Loni's fun attitude and sassy personality definitely matches up with our crew!
Jennifer has been with us since 2014. Her role now is our lead lab technician. Jennifer runs our in house lens fabricating laboratory. Her get it done attitude and fiesty personality make her a reliable and fun coworker!
Tessa is back! She was with us 2010-2015 before she moved to Waco. Tessa now is our staff support agent. She has great organizational skills and her attention to detail make her ideal in this role. She keeps our insurance orders on track!
